My path to ministry has been circuitous to say the least. I grew up Christian but left the Church when I was 17 because I felt the people didn’t practice what they preached.  At 19 however,  I had a radical encounter with the Holy Spirit and committed my life to walking by his leading. This led my wife and I from Texas to Kansas City to join a community modeled after the Acts church. (I thought we were going to revolutionize the gathering, and return it to its roots). Instead, 1 month after our arrival, my parents and grandmother were killed in a car accident. Less than a year later the ministry fell apart, and the next 15 years didn't get any smoother.
